“WHY not build our own E-commerce platform to help South Africans live in an affordable and decent life?”. After discussing the undesirable economic situation of South Africa in the class, knowing the astonishing high price of commodities there, an idea pop up into Dr. Jeff's head.

As In China there are numerous low cost products can be procured, if we can establish a channel, without any "middle men", to constantly and fast deliver these low cost & good quality products directly from selected China factories to the hands of South African customers, What an amazing thing！

On May 28, 2024, Dr. Jeff welcomed a group of 21 South African students to China. The students, sponsored by their government, are here for a year-long program to study cross-border E-commerce. Their goal is to acquire the skills needed to contribute to their country's economic growth upon their return. This initiative aligns with the China-South Africa friendship and the broader commitment China has made to fostering vocational skills training in Africa. As outlined at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, China aims to provide African youth with more employment opportunities and improve their employability through targeted skill development programs.

During daily classes, Dr. Jeff's interactions with South Africa students sparked his curiosity about the high cost of living in South Africa. Through extensive research, he discovered that several factors contribute to this phenomenon.

Firstly, the long distance between China and South Africa results in a complex supply chain involving numerous intermediaries. This extended process increases costs at each stage, ultimately leading to higher prices for consumers. Secondly, limited logistics channels between the two countries elevate freight costs compared to other regions.

However, these challenges present an opportunity for Dr. Jeff. By leveraging e-commerce technology and optimizing the supply chain, he aims to provide a steady stream of high-quality Chinese products to South African consumers at competitive prices.

After figuring out everything, Dr Jeff excitedly announced: "Let's build a sacred E-commerce platform where we can all work together to benefit all South African people!"
